Mission Statement & Core Values

HCC's Mission Statement:

Creating environments where people are intentionally Growing Spiritually, Sharing Life Together and Serving The World.

The Vision for HCC:

It is our desire that Heritage Community Church be an environment where we are cultivating the soil and intentionally planting seeds so new believers are birthed and nurtured in God's Word and His work. We want each professing Christian to become like a strong, healthy tree that produces good fruit necessary for reproduction. (1 Corinthians 3:5-9; Psalms 92:12-15; Psalms 1:3; Jeremiah 17:7-8)

HCC's Foundation:

God's Word is the foundation of everything we do at Heritage Community Church. Our passion is to lead people to discover a personal reationship with our Heavenly Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, and then to experience a life intentionally shaped by God through the power of the Holy Spirit living in us. Paul said it this way in his letter to the church at Colossae;

"And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow Him. Let your roots grow down in to Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness." - Colossians 2:6-7

Core Values:

Intimacy With God -- God desires an intimate relationship with me (Psalms 63:1-8, Exodus 33:13, Isaiah 43:10) Key Question: Do I know God more intimately today than yesterday?

Authentic Community -- Real People living Real Life Together (Ephesians 4:2-3, Hebrews 10:24-25) Key Question: Am I in a small group for accountability, encouragement and spiritual growth?

People Matter -- God values people, so should we (John 3:16-17, Luke 5:27-32, Romans 5:8, Romans 3:23) Key Question: How do I treat people in my sphere of influence?

Kingdom Perspective -- Influencing the unchurched by planting seeds of faith and using our time, abilities, and resources unselfishly (Matthew 6:19-21, Phillipians 2:1-5) Key Question: Does what I'm doing advance the Kingdom of God?

Family -- God’s tool of reaching and discipling the next generation of believers (Ephesians 5:22-33, Joshua 24:15, Deuteronomy 6:6-9, Ephesians 6:1-4, Psalm 78:4-8) Key Question: After God, is family my highest priority?

Relational Evangelism -- An intentional building of relationships with those inside your sphere of influence for the purpose of sharing God's message of love and forgiveness regardless of how they respond (Luke 19:1-10, Acts 8:26-35) Key Question: With whom am I building an intentional relationship to share Christ’s love?
